About MeasureOnImage.com

MeasureOnImage.com is a free, browser-based tool that lets you measure distances and dimensions directly on any image — floor plans, blueprints, maps, technical drawings, or everyday photos. No installation, no upload to our servers. Everything runs in your browser for complete privacy.

How It Works

1. Upload your image

Click "Upload Image" or drag and drop any photo, blueprint, floor plan, or map onto the canvas. Supported formats: JPG, PNG, PDF (first page).

2. Draw the scale line

Draw a red SCALE line over a reference object with a known real-world measurement — for example, a door (2 m), a table (1.5 m), or a ruler. Enter the known value and unit.

3. Measure anything

Draw additional lines over any object you want to measure. The tool automatically calculates the real-world length based on your scale.

4. Export your work

Download the annotated image as PNG or JPG, or export as PDF for reports and documentation.

Common Use Cases

Frequently Asked Questions

Is MeasureOnImage.com free to use?

Yes, the tool is completely free. No account or registration is required.

Is my image uploaded to your server?

No. Your image is processed entirely in your browser. It never leaves your device.

What types of images can I measure?

You can measure on any image: floor plans, architectural blueprints, maps, construction drawings, product photos, land plots, and more.

How accurate are the measurements?

Accuracy depends on the quality of your scale reference. If you set the scale using a known object (e.g. a door frame), measurements will be proportionally accurate across the image.

Can I use this tool on mobile?

Yes. The tool is fully responsive. Use one finger to draw lines and two fingers to pan and zoom on mobile.

What units can I use?

You can use any unit you like — metres, centimetres, millimetres, inches, feet, or any custom label.

Can I save my measurements and continue later?

Currently the tool works within a single session. You can export the annotated image as PNG, JPG, or PDF to preserve your work.
